We tend to focus on physical and emotional aspects of our personality, and less on investigating spiritual elements such as our values, morals, ethics and principals.
For example, think of the following statement: I would like to have a fast car (physical) because it makes me happy (emotional).
If we go one step beyond it, we might realize that we want a fast car because it gives us a sense of freedom (Spiritual Value). That might teach us to focus on reaching new levels of freedom than on buying new toys, which usually fulfil us in the short term.
Try to make it a tendency to search for meaning of anything you do/behave and push past the surface. I guess we’re not doing it on regular basis because we’re too scared to look inside of ourself so we tend to find solutions outside and project them externally. A good example would be the use of alcohol to gain confidence.
The first step to become a spiritual intelligent person is by having high levels of awareness and the most effective way to gain this is by being fully engaged in the present moment.
Focusing on the present moment enable us to sense deep feelings inside of us (inner world) and feel the energy of everything around us (outer world).
For instance, sensing deep love toward others and a connection to all is out there.
As the title of this articles states - Mind guess, Soul knows.
The second step would be to use the knowledge you just gained and live it in every aspect of your life. Be your values, Become your principals.
This will direct you to your true purpose. For example, being aware that you have a choice in every situation will lead you to experience true freedom. (That’s how Victor Frankel, author of “men search for meaning”, was able to survive Nazi concentration camps)
Believe that there is unlimited potential in every situation and the anything is possible; otherwise you are you risking the possibility of magnificent life.
Sooner or later you will realize that you are not what you do, or how you behave. You are your deep values and principals.
